About Us

Seoul is not only Korea’s chief administrative, economic, and cultural center, but also the hub of Korea’s film industry. The Seoul Metropolitan Region is home to 95% of Korea’s film and TV related companies and facilities. Additionally, over 40% of all local movies and TV programs are shot here each year, and it has also become and often sought after location for international productions.
Since its foundation in 2002, and with the systematic support of the Seoul Metropolitan Government and other related agencies, Seoul Film Commission has provided support to more than 2,000 film productions including features, shorts, documentaries, commercials, TV dramas and more.
