The total 38 film commission and organizations from 8 countries replied to the questionnaire that conducted in order to construct the AFCN to 75 film commission and organizations in 11 Asian countries during 4 weeks from 19 Nov. to 17 Dec. 2003.
In brief, the 24 film commissions and organizations, which made up 63% of respondents, answered that they had experienced in supporting foreign film locations and following problems. The respondents are all aware of the problems occurring due to the difference of language, support system, related law, custom, and lack of understanding. They say that information exchange is the most urgent need.
Also, 24 respondents, said that solidarity for Asian film commissions like AFCI (Association of Film Commissioners International), or the construction of AFCN (Asian Film Commission Network), is necessary. They added that the activity of AFCN has to be focused on the information exchange between countries, construction of database, and the settling of the problems in supporting location filming.
